How to write a reflection journal
Turn a moment into a few useful lines.

Start with one moment, not your whole life. You might choose a conversation, a walk or a decision that stayed with you. There is no required length and no right mood for writing.
What happened
Describe the scene in ordinary words. Separate what you observed from what you guessed. “They left before I finished” is an observation; “They did not care” is an interpretation you can explore.
How I felt
Name a feeling if that helps. You can also write “I am not sure yet.” Your journal does not need a tidy explanation.
What I learned
Ask what mattered to you in that moment. Was there an expectation, a boundary or a small pleasure you had not noticed?
One next step
Choose something small enough to do, or decide that noticing is enough today.
Sample entry
This is a fictional example: “I hurried through lunch while answering messages. I felt scattered. I noticed that I wanted ten quiet minutes. Tomorrow I will put my phone away for the first few bites.”
Read your words once. Change anything that does not sound like you, then close the page when you are ready.
Choose one moment
A single scene is enough to begin. Describe what happened before deciding what it means.
Separate a fact from a guess
Describe what you observed, then name your interpretation as a possibility. Both can belong on the page.
What is one detail from today I might otherwise forget?
Begin with a specific moment. Describe it in your own words, then notice what you would like to add. You may skip the question or change it to fit your day.
What asked for more attention than I expected?

Where did I change my mind, even a little?
